Behavourial Interview Training

Offsite Human Resources practices the art of behavioural interviewing of both candidates and referees during its recruitment and selection process. Behavioural interviewing is primarily the view that past behaviour is often a good predictor of future actions. As such, by asking targeted questions that probe the experiences of the applicant, you are better placed to gather relevant information.

OHR runs one and two day workshops, dependant on the level of skill and background of the participants. At the end of the workshop you will be able to:

Describe the recruitment process from start to completion.
Identify key criteria from position descriptions.
Source and screen suitable applicants.
Understand the advantages of behavioural interviewing techniques and how to apply them.
Plan and interview and apply effective interview questioning/probing techniques.
Incorporate and apply the principles of EEO and privacy into your recruitment.
Competently and confidently provide feedback to unsuccessful applicants.

Effectively conduct a reference check and explain its importance in the recruitment process.

This program is practical and effective and should be undertaken by any person or team with people management responsibilities.
