Vacancies will be placed on the intranet for a period of two weeks to enable employee accessibility. The Manager with the vacancy has the responsibility to develop and distribute their job advertisement. Where it is considered necessary to go external, the position will be advertised simultaneously. Sometimes, there may not be a need to advertise the position. An example of this would be where a directed move has been made and a successor has been identified to step into a key role. In such cases, the Finance & Administration Manager will be involved in the process to ensure that a smooth handover of role occurs. There are a variety of methods Company uses to attract candidates that are in addition to internal promotion / lateral moves. The option chosen by the Manager will depend on the type of position being offered, the time to fill it and available budget. Advertising When this occurs, the Manager Operations will work with the Manager and a specialist agency for newspaper advertisements to ensure the design and look appropriately represents our company. Larger advertisements, called display ads, are more expensive because of the greater readership however some positions only require a line advertisement i.e. advertisement with no logos, colour or graphics.
