Employment of Relatives Employment of Relatives It is the policy of Company to avoid conflicts of interests in relation to the overall employment of individuals who are relatives of employees. Accordingly, Company does not hire or employ relatives or individuals with whom employees may have potentially conflicting relationships. Definitions
A "potentially conflicting relationship" is defined as any relationship in which loyalty to another individual may impair objective decision making, or result, even inadvertently, in an unauthorised exchange of confidential information, or otherwise cause conflicts which may negatively impact on the business of Company. The Management Team reserve the right to decide what constitutes a "potentially conflicting relationship". An "employee" means permanent employee and includes any temporary employee. Guidelines
Relatives, or individuals with whom managerial employees have potentially conflicting relationships, may be hired in the company, but not in the same major division. No employee may be assigned to a position in which they have responsibility for the supervision of a relative. Relatives, or individuals with whom non-managerial employees have potentially conflicting relationships may be hired by the company, but not be employed in the same department or reporting to the same Manager. No employee may be assigned to a position in which the relative is responsible for an employee"s supervision. If employees already on the payroll become related, and their current assignments conflict with the above guidelines outlined above, one employee must transfer to another area of the company or an affiliate company as soon as possible. For employees affected by this policy, opportunities for advancement remain limited while they are both working for the two Companies. The two companies will assist in finding a comparable job in another area which will avoid a conflict of interests. It is the obligation of any employee to inform their management when they have formed a relationship under the definitions of this policy.
