Induction

Induction

All employees are required to undergo an induction to our business using the attached checklist as a guide. This is important because it is the means by which we welcome new employees to Company, provide them with the information they need and help them become more knowledgeable about principles, policies and practices. Contractors engaged by Company are required to go through the appropriate elements of our Induction Program.

Prior to commencing with us, new employees will be sent an information pack that will assist them to become acquainted with the organisation and its practices. The pack includes:

  • An overview of Company
  • An organisational chart;
  • The employee’s position description;
  • Details on our Superannuation plan;
  • Details on our Health plan;
  • Details on our Incentive and share option plans;
  • An overview of our Company benefits;
  • Banking Details Form;
  • Superannuation Form/s;
  • Tax File Number Declaration Form;
  • Personal/Emergency Details Form.

Our induction program covers all the essential of what must be covered off both prior to and after commencement of a new employee. Its completion is essentially the responsibility of the immediate Manager, although some parts may be delegated to a buddy as nominated by the Manager. The buddy guidelines will assist those nominated as a buddy. At the end of the induction process, an employee must sign the checklist stating that they have taken part in the induction program and that the employee understands the various issues covered in the induction program.

It is important a schedule for the first week be established by the immediate Manager which includes meetings with key team members and other stakeholders as necessary.

Emergency and security procedures must be covered off on the first day of their employment. There should be time left between meetings to allow the new employee to digest the information and undertake small tasks they may need to do.
