Performance Management

We give you feedback

Philosophy

All employees deserve to know how they are performing on a regular basis. The feedback that they receive should always be timely, constructive and meaningful. To do this well, it is important to:

  • Set clear performance criteria relevant to your skills, role and responsibilities
  • Measure your effectiveness
  • Deliver feedback in an honest, constructive and diplomatic manner
  • Be consistent in our appraisal approach
  • Set aside the time and place to give feedback properly
  • Listen to your input

Policy

All employees are reviewed in terms of their performance and contribution to the business. Reviews will be both regular and meaningful. Elements of the review include assessing performance against set objectives, as well as behaviours demonstrated in achieving those objectives.

Managers and their employees should be given equal responsibility for ensuring that effective performance discussions occur on a regular basis.
